Millwall Dock #1 (SOLD)

Old industrial dock crane. Watercolour and charcoal on paper. Wooden Navy-Blue frame with glass protection provided by Frontispiece Framers. 

This painting is inspired by our local dock and its old shipping cranes which are around the dock’s edge. They are not in use now, but they have been kept in situ as a reminder of the busy industry that once was operating on the dock. I wanted to give a nod to our docker past.
