About Artist

Welcome to Art Making Matters. Kyrsten is an artist living and working in East London, UK. Her paintings uplift and energise.

She is surrounded by the water of both the Thames river and the Millwall Docks. She takes inspiration for her paintings from the local area and the large flock of resident swans on the Millwall Docks. She loves the local area with its rich and diverse history including the old docks and the Mudchute Park & Farm.

Kyrsten has two visual art degrees from Sydney University, Australia. Including a Bachelor of Arts and a Postgraduate majoring in painting and philosophy.

She has exhibited in Australia and the UK:

Including Byblos Harbour - UK, Brady Arts Centre - UK, St. Dunstan & All Saints - UK, First Draft - Australia, Bondi Pavilion - Australia, Tin Sheds Gallery – Australia.

TV and Print:

Her art work titled "Home" was shown on Channel Four's, Grayson's Art Club and her "Westferry Printworks Scales of Injustice" painting was featured in the Big Issue magazine.
